MANAGING YOUR TYPE . . . and YOURSELF
Even those of us who are aficionados of personality type sometimes find ourselves
struggling with the “challenges” of our individual types. While we may own the gifts of
our type, we also battle the baggage—sometimes with bemusement and sometimes
with frustration. And while we struggle with who we are, based on our type, we also
are challenged by who we aren’t—our tertiary and inferior functions that we may yearn
to be more robust. Sometimes in our heart of hearts, we even find ourselves guilty of
“type envy.”
This presentation is based on new survey data from Delta Associates that reveals—
often poignantly—the battles we wage in learning to manage our own type and
ourselves and concludes with tools for leveraging the power of type in the service of
self-management.
Carol Kallendorf and Delta Associates have been innovators in the interpretation of
the MBTI Step II and in the application of Step II in executive coaching, high level
team alignment and conflict management. By developing a full suite of advanced
MBTI applications, Delta has been able to successfully build repeat engagements
with clients using MBTI. This has countered the oft-heard objection of, “MBTI? Oh
yeah . . . we did that once.”
Carol and Becky offer this interactive workshop which focuses on:
- Interpreting the MBTI Step II facets
- Tools for applying the Step II in specific coaching, teambuilding and conflict
management scenarios
- Case studies in which participants get hands-on experience in interpreting the
Step II report and applying it.
Becky will also preview the latest developments in Think Box and other new products
from CPP.
Participants who have not taken the MBTI Step II may take the assessment prior to
